Exhibits continued The Top of the World at Baltimore's' World Trade Center in Maryland 1985 was the venue of our most ambitious Bronze from the Sea Exhibition to date and included the Cadets and the Boats along with The Eagles Flight and new sculpture motifs. The Exhibit, sponsored, in part, by Operation Sail and the Maryland Port Authority took up one of the 5 facets of the Top of the World which in total is a dedicated exhibition and lookout floor high above the City of Baltimore. There were several turnstile entrances to the exhibit which welcomed over 63,000 people over the three month one man showing.
The new Sheraton-Stamford Hotel and Towers became the next exhibition location for a One-Man Showing of Osmundsen's Bronzes from the Sea and for this major show the Artist constructed an over-life-sized sculpture of At the Helm. This monumental version was featured on the entrance lawn under the Sheraton Logo where the hotel planted a circular garden and lighted Osmundsen's work at night. Although the exhibit, held indoors, in their marble lobby and "The Magnificent J's", was only scheduled for a few months popular response held the exhibit over until 1990. The Exhibit opened in December of 1986 with a Dinner-Talk at "The Magnificent J's" which was hosted by the Sheraton and sponsored in part by Sea Heritage News. | "AT THE HELM" at the SHERATON-STAMFORD HOTEL & TOWERS Stamford Ct. 1986-1990
